Due to the possibility of severe weather on Sunday, April 14, 2019, we are cancelling the 8 am service and the Connection Groups. We will meet for the 10:45 am Worship Service. NO 8 AM SERVICE OR CONNECTION GROUPS IN THE MORNING.

PRAISE TEAM AND PRAISE BAND will meet at 10:15.
CHOIR will meet at 10:30.

Just a friendly reminder. The bridge is out. Here are the direction.

The bridge over Dry Creek will be out for 72 working days, starting April 8, 2019. If you are coming from Gadsden on Hwy 278, here are the best directions.

Calling all Men! This Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at 6pm we will meet at Johnny Kellett's River Lot at Pine Cone in Leesburg. Then, Sunday Morning, we will have a Men's Choir for both am services. We will rehearse at 7:30 am before the 8 am service. Then we will also sing in the 10:45 am service. Men, there may be family that visits our church this Sunday for the first time who need encouragement. Your obedience and help filling the choir could go a long ways in reaching someones dad, friend, or brother. Let your light shine this weekend.

Who in the Bible is known for not going where God said Go? Jonah

In Jonah 1 it says
"the Word of the Lord came to Jonah", God had a purpose for His servant.
Then God told Him to
"Rise & Go to Nineveh".
God was very specific, this was not like with Abraham, Abraham had faith to obey God even when he did not know where he was going.
But God Told Jonah and he refused to go to that wicked city.
Has God ever laid on your heart something that you did not want to do?
We all know the Story, Jonah got on a ship and before he knew it he was in a Powerful Storm.
The Manmade Storm.
Jonah put many people in a dangerous place because he did not Obey God. (Men on Boat)
Why did God create the Storm?
Was He trying to Punish Jonah?
If there is a storm in your life, who is on your boat with you and how many does it effect?
Point:
1. God was not trying to punish Jonah, He was wanting to save a CITY. (Your Home)
2. God does not throw anyone away. When the Men threw Jonah overboard, God had a plan to bring him back.
3. God turned an unlikely place(Fish), into a place of worship for Jonah.
4. Don't wait to respond to God in the belly of Correction for "the Lord will discipline those He Loves!"
5. God has a purpose and plan for us. Trust it, Embrace it, Enjoy it
6. We can't Worship Gods ways and our idols(wants) at the same time.

““Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy. But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.” So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.”

From my Quite Time today:

Waiting upon God is not passive. It is not lazy. It is not an excuse to be careless. In fact, the opposite is true. Those who pause are seeking His will—which means that they are praying, searching Scripture, perhaps even fasting. And they are still serving the Lord wherever they can.

Good Morning everyone!! I hope you all are having a GREAT week!! A "Christmas in Mayberry" is upon us and I want to encourage you ALL to be a part.....WE NEED YOU!

We will be using the Choir to decorate the Town in the first scene and we have 2 Choir Specials at the end that needs each and every voice to make it powerfu!!

Wednesday night will be the Last Choir rehearsal and then dress rehearsal is Friday night at 6:30. We will feed your family so join us for supper starting at 5:30....

Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for being faithful to this VERY important ministry!! ;)

This scripture and paragraph were from my devotion this morning

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

What would you like to see the Lord do within you? As you read the Scriptures, look for qualities that God considers precious, and ask Him to work them out in your life. Then rely on His wonderful promise to do even more than you have asked or imagined.
