After walking the gardens today, we noticed many solar lights stuck in the ground close to the marker bases. Please place these in the vase or saddles on the markers, they are hazardous and could get damaged during w**d eating and will have to be removed. We also have a new wind-blown flower bin located at the front Attalla entrance to the cemetery. We picked up many flowers that had been blown off markers today and they were placed in the bin. Please check there if you are missing any flowers. As always, please call the office if you have any questions 256-442-5121.

The rainy season continues to deteriorate the gardens. We are preparing to do maintenance in wet and sunken areas of the cemetery and tree trimming. We have already picked up many items that were strewn around by the high winds. Please be reminded that glass is strictly prohibited even if attached to markers or monuments or in vases, we noticed many glass angels, glass flower vases and glass jars on monuments that will have to be removed as they are very dangerous should they get broken. Shepherds hooks are not allowed to be stuck in the ground please have them in the vase of the marker or monument. Ornamentation is to be on the marker or monument, in vases or saddles preferred. We have picked up some things that were on the ground and placed them neatly in the black container under the oak tree in the back of office. Christmas decorations should have been removed after two weeks of holiday season, therefore some items that were on the ground have been pick up. Please give us your immediate attention and make arrangements to have all your decorations attached to the marker or monuments or in the vases. If you have any questions, please call or come in to see us.
