We are excited to share this special opportunity honoring the legacy of two beloved members of our Bethsaida family — the late Don Donald, longtime deacon, and Mary Charles Donald, our faithful pianist and active church member. ❤️
The 2026 Mary Charles & Don Donald History and Nature Camp will offer young people an unforgettable week of hands-on learning, Alabama history, outdoor exploration, and discovery in the heart of the Alabama Black Belt.
📍 Cornwallis 1828 – Western Lowndes County near Braggs, Alabama
📅 July 20–24, 2026
👦👧 For rising 5th & 6th graders
🎟 Limited to only 10 campers
💲 Tuition: $575 (includes meals & snacks)
Campers will explore over 5,200 acres of historic Black Belt landscape while learning about life from the 1500s through the Civil War through interactive lessons, architecture, craftsmanship, historic homes, and outdoor activities.
Activities are led by experienced instructors, including Demp Bell and staff, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, exploration, and fun.
This meaningful camp is a beautiful tribute to Don’s memory and to the love of history, learning, and community shared by Don and Mary Charles. What a wonderful way to inspire the next generation to appreciate Alabama’s rich heritage and the beauty of God’s creation.
