Join us on Sunday, December 21, 2025, for a special evening celebrating the sights, sounds, and spirit of Christmas in Historic Furman!

🚗 Drive-By Tour of Lighted Historic Homes & Churches
Beginning at dusk, enjoy a leisurely drive through Furman as some of our most storied homes and churches are beautifully illuminated for the season. Experience Furman’s history and holiday charm from the comfort of your warm vehicle.

🕯️ Homes will remain lit until 9:00 pm.

🕯️ Christmas Candlelight Service at 6:30 pm
We also invite you to a Christmas Candlelight Service at the restored Historic Bethsaida Baptist Church, featuring period-dressed Dickens Carolers for a truly memorable and moving experience.

📢 Service Update – Sunday, December 14

Please note that Sunday School and church services will be canceled on Sunday, December 14.

Instead, we encourage everyone to join us at Cornwallis 1828 for the Annual Doe Rodeo, the largest Doe Rodeo in Alabama, held right here in the Alabama Black Belt.

This special community hunting event helps manage the local deer population while providing much-needed venison to local Christian food banks, feeding families in need across our region. The goal is to collect hundreds of donated does, making a meaningful impact for thousands of people.

🐾 What to expect:
• Hunting competitions
• Vendor booths
• Food and prizes
• Fellowship and community spirit

This week, we give special thanks to our pastor, Brother Dempsey Bell, whose faithful leadership, heartfelt preaching, and steadfast service continue to bless our church family.

For nearly two centuries, Bethsaida Baptist Church — founded in 1831 — has stood as a place of worship, fellowship, and community. We are grateful that God continues to guide our congregation through Pastor Demp's dedication and love for the Lord and His people.

Thank you for your ministry, your prayers, and your compassion for every member of our church family, our entire community, and beyond! Your example of faith inspires us all! 💙
