Does anyone local to Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine own a black-and-white cat?

Our little visitor has been spotted near our Kateri Chapel recently — or should we say our “Cat-eri” Chapel?

We’ve seen it at least three times this week, but it won’t let anyone get close enough to take a photo, or check for a collar to see if it belongs to someone nearby.

If it’s a neighbor’s cat, we’re happy to have it stopping by for visits! We just want to make sure it’s safe and not in need of help.

We have a current tornado watch moving through the area. The already strong wind has just blown down a massive tree onto the pavilion. We will be closing the grounds early today for everyone’s safety. Stay safe! 🙏

Parishes and individuals around the country are encouraged to join the U.S. Catholic bishops in this historic occasion, beginning with this Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus written for the consecration.

NYS Vocation Directors will celebrate a 12:00 pm Mass today in the Coliseum. Please note there will not be the normal 11:00 am Mass this morning.
