Fultondale church of Christ We are a group of New Testament Christians serving the Lord and telling his message in our community, our country and overseas as far as we can go.

In Matthew 11:28-30 , Jesus says - " Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

In Genesis 19 , Lot sat at the gate of S***m as if proximity to wickedness had become normal. And the terrifying thing about compromise is that it never feels like surrender at first.

If we compromise with wickedness long enough, we will eventually surrender the very people we were called to protect.

In spite of what Jesus knew was coming just a short while later, he still sang...

What, how, and why we sing says a lot about us as Christians. Sometimes we bring with us our baggage to worship on Sunday morning - pain, grief, shame, loneliness, etc - yet, we still sing.

It says even more about who our audience for our worship is and that he too, through the dread and anticipation of suffering he knew awaited him, "sang a hymn." (Matthew 26:30)

Oh, to be like HIM.
