October Is Pastor Appreciation Month and we have one of the best!

A good pastor is much more than a man who stands behind a pulpit on Sunday morning. He is a shepherd of God's people, a student of the Word, a man of prayer, a teacher of truth, and a servant who strives to lead his congregation according to the heart and will of God.
A faithful pastor understands that his calling is not simply a job, but a responsibility entrusted to him by the Lord. He recognizes that the people he serves belong to God, and he seeks to care for them with love, patience, wisdom, and compassion.

Bro. Keith Thomas has had a lot of struggles and faced many challenges this year but he still perseveres as much as physically possible.

We love and appreciate our pastor!

Our teen class is studying II Corinthians chapter 6 learning about Paul and his team teaching us how to separate ourselves from the world.
Our adult class is studying Mark chapter 13.
Our littles are “Falling for Jesus “.

During our revival this week it came to mind that the God called preachers who deliver God’s messages during revival services sacrifice a lot for our benefit.
First of all, they sacrifice their time with their own family oftentimes when their family members aren’t able to attend services with them.
They pour everything they have into the service, regardless of how the hosting church responds or doesn’t respond. This can be exhausting, discouraging and frustrating to say the least but it can also be uplifting, encouraging and energizing when the church responds well.
They oftentimes travel long distances which puts them getting home late at night.
There again, more time away from family and home.
They pray harder than anyone for the message that the church stands in need of.
They endure criticism, are sadly mistaken for the complaint department even at a church they don’t currently pastor and hear everything that needs fixing.

The next time you attend a revival service, think about how much the preacher sacrificed for your soul. Be thankful for those sacrifices, God loves you so much He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ♥️

This week of revival services have been an absolute blessing!
Bro. Goolsby finished the week with “The best is yet to come “.
It should be an encouragement to each of God’s children that no matter what we may experience in this life, nothing compares to the glorious experience that awaits us.

Thank you Bro. Goolsby for being a willing vessel and delivering God’s message each time you stand. Thank you to our church, visitors and friends for being with us in prayer and fellowship.
We love each of you dearly!
