Night to Shine Fruitport, MI 2024

It is with great sadness that we must announce, The Lakes Church will not be hosting Night to Shine this February 2025. Due to a transitionary year for our church, we need to postpone our annual event. We will communicate next Fall in regards to NTS 2026.

We are so thankful for all the families who have made Night to Shine at The Lakes so special. Thank you to our community for your financial and volunteer support over these past years. We could never put on such an amazing event with you all!

Getting this party started out right! So thankful for the French Academy of Cosmetology for hosting our guests for hair, nails, and makeup!

REMINDER: Our first volunteer training is this evening at 6:00-7:00 at Calvary Christian School. Follow the Lakes Church flag for where to enter. If you aren't able to come tonight, we will have another training scheduled for next Wednesday night from 6:00-7:00 as well.

Update: We have changed our list into a registry to help find our list. If you search in your amazon app you can find us under "night to shine Fruitport" under gift lists.

We are only 17 days away from Night to Shine and we are getting excited!! With this event being 100% donation based, we want to share with you all an amazon wish list that we have created. With these items we will be able to take our night a step further and add a few extra details to each room. Please consider donating towards this incredible night and help us create an exciting space. Be on the look out because today at 12pm our dress tickets go live! They are first come first serve so be ready to move quickly. If you are already registered with a guest, you will be receiving a email about glam sessions for both men and women in the next few days!

Next on our list of things to do is to schedule our dress days where our guests can come try on and pick dresses to wear to the prom night! We are looking for volunteers who are willing and able to alter the dresses to our specific guests. If you are interested in helping with dress fittings and volunteering in this position please message us so we can secure a date. Thank you!

We are so thankful for all the support from our community! We’ve received so many gorgeous dresses, lots of target disco balls as recently requested, and some wonderful local businesses have generously given financial support. We wanted to thank some of the businesses that have gone above and beyond by helping us get this event up and running so far!

Sign up now to be a volunteer for Night to Shine! We have filled just over half our buddy roles, but we have lots more guests who will need a buddy for the evening. We are also looking for volunteers for multiple other roles as well, such as guest check-in, security, servers, set up and tear down crew, and more. It takes roughly 150 volunteers to put on this event, so please consider joining us!
