Our scholars at Promise Prep recently stepped into the Promise Prep Sound Booth to become real-life radio advertisers! 🎧📻
Students used their creativity and imagination to invent their very own products and then worked together to write, record, and produce exciting radio commercials for them! From funny jingles to persuasive advertisements, our scholars learned valuable skills in:
🎤 Public speaking
📝 Creative writing
🎚️ Audio production
🤝 Teamwork & collaboration
💡 Marketing & communication
Watching the students bring their ideas to life behind the microphone was an incredible experience! We are so proud of their confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout the project. 👏🔥

🔬💡 SCIENCE + CREATIVITY + HANDS-ON LEARNING! 💡🔬
Our scholars at Promise Prep have been hard at work designing and building their very own battery-powered soda can lamps during science class — and the results were AMAZING! 👏✨
Throughout this project, students learned:
🔧 How LED light strips work
🔋 How to power circuits with batteries
🪛 How to safely solder wires together
💡 How electrical connections are made
🎨 How creativity and engineering work hand-in-hand
From sanding and drilling to wiring and assembling, our scholars showed incredible focus, teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance every step of the way. Watching their lamps light up for the very first time was such an exciting moment! ⚡🙌
At Promise Prep, we love giving students opportunities to learn through real-world, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and innovation. We are so proud of all their hard work and creativity!

Hi Y'all!

I thoroughly enjoyed the brotherhood group this morning, where we explored various components of a vehicle. We discussed fuel types and the correct location for filling your vehicle up. We also learned how to “pop the hood” and identified key parts under it. I demonstrated how to safely jump-start a battery, emphasizing the importance of caution due to potential dangers. Finally, we located the spare tire and practiced changing a flat tire.

Overall, it was an awesome experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity in the brotherhood group to teach and learn about these essential skills.
