I have a new blacksmith tool on my etsy store. foxwoodforge.etsy.com It is a post vice tool to hold hardy tool and stock upright. it is a custom V-block will hold down to 5/8" round and 1/2" square. works very well, if you have odd sized hardy tools that don't fit your anvil this works great.

Fresh from the shop a pair of dividers made from drawing in the "Pattern Book" starting with 3/8" square bar. It only took three tries to get one to work and look like the picture.

Some of the latest things from the shop. I had a 2 x 4 sheet of aluminum and made a box. My first aluminum tig welding... I need a lot more practice before I can say I can do that. Also made a holder to get all of my grinders off the welding table. I now have close to 90% of the table free and clear, today.

Todays project, celtic symbol. The starting stock was 2 x 1/4 cut at 60 degrees. find center of each side and cut perpendicular to side about 1/8 off center a short distance. 6 cuts total. fuller in at each cut, draw out to three equal lengths. scroll to contact center. wire brush and finish. winds up about 2" across scrolls.

This is what is going on in the shop the last few days. The hardest thing about making small copies of original work is having to make the size metal you need to look right for the smaller scale. the scrolls in this needed 1/2 x 1/8 flat bar of course i did not have any, so had to make it from larger stock. I will have to admit I am not real sure how I will doing all of the forge welds I need to make this look good. I am hoping the induction forge will come to my rescue. I will keep you updated
