📖 Midweek Reflection: "A Book of Acts Church – Acts 5"

Acts 5 contains one of the most sobering accounts in Scripture—the story of Ananias and Sapphira. While the passage reminds us that God sees beyond outward appearances, it also reveals His desire for His people to walk in honesty, sincerity, and reverence before Him.

📖 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." — Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)

The early church was not built on appearances or recognition. It was built on genuine faith, prayer, obedience, and a commitment to the name of Jesus. As reverence for God increased, so did miracles, unity, and revival. The apostles refused to stop preaching the truth, even when faced with opposition and persecution.

Today, God is still calling His church to be a Book of Acts church—one that believes in the power of prayer, the authority of Jesus' name, and the moving of the Holy Ghost. When we walk honestly before God and remain faithful to His Word, He can work through us to impact our community and draw people closer to Him.

📖 Sunday Reflection: “How Deep Is the Mercy of God?”

📺 Missed the message? Watch it now on our YouTube channel:
www.youtube.com/

This Sunday, Pastor Bruce Strickland reminded us that God's mercy reaches farther than our failures and deeper than our shame. Through Psalm 103 and the story of the woman at the well, we were encouraged to remember that Jesus does not seek to condemn us—He seeks to restore us.

📖 “But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him...” — Psalm 103:17 (KJV)

Mercy is not permission to continue in sin, but an invitation to experience God's transforming grace. The Lord knows every chapter of our story, every regret, every failure, and every struggle. Yet His mercy still reaches. Just as Jesus met the woman at the well in her brokenness, He meets us where we are and offers living water that changes our future.

No matter what you've faced, remember this truth: your shame is not stronger than God's mercy. His mercy is still calling, still restoring, and still reaching for souls today.

❓What part of God's mercy are you most thankful for in your life?
