📖 Sunday Recap with Pastor Sammy
Stand Firm, Speak Truth, Keep Your Joy
What a powerful time in God's presence today as we were challenged and encouraged to stand firmly on the unchanging truth of God's Word. Drawing from 2 Timothy 4:1-8, Pastor Sammy reminded us that we are living in a time when many want messages that are comfortable rather than truthful. Yet God is still calling His people to preach, live, and stand on sound doctrine—even when it is unpopular. Truth may come with a cost, but eternity is worth it. As we refuse to compromise and continue to trust God, He gets the glory.
Through the example of David's prayer in Psalm 51, we were reminded that repentance is not about condemnation but restoration. When we bring our hearts before God, confess our sins, and seek His forgiveness, He restores the joy of our salvation. The enemy wants to steal our joy, but God's presence renews, strengthens, and refreshes us. As Scripture declares, "The joy of the Lord is your strength." Joy is not dependent on circumstances—it is found in Christ.
The message also encouraged us to trust God in the impossible. From testimonies of answered prayer and miraculous breakthroughs to the church joining together in prayer for Taylor and her family, faith filled the sanctuary. We were reminded that God still heals, restores, and moves on behalf of His people. As we wait upon the Lord, He renews our strength and helps us rise above the challenges we face. The service concluded with heartfelt worship, unified prayer, and a renewed commitment to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.
May we leave this week determined to:
✔ Stand on God's Word without compromise
✔ Speak the truth in love
✔ Keep the joy of our salvation
✔ Trust God in every circumstance
✔ Give Him all the glory
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength..." — Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
🙌 God gets the glory!
