Our church location is "out in the middle of somewhere", but it's pretty easy to get here (I90's Frost exit is a mile+ away, and Highway 254 is even closer). Our building is relatively modern, no steps, and lends itself to our vibrant/blended worship (the original church burned down in 1976). We are Lutheran, but at the same time we preach/teach/believe in the personal faith relationship with Jesu
s for salvation, we stand on the Bible as perfectly true, and we welcome the Holy Spirit to bless and empower us in every day life. Our preaching is from the Bible, every Sunday. We are blessed to have a near full-time youth director, Timothy, who leads our youth ministries to Sr. High youth on a weekly basis. We also have an after school children's ministry on Wednesdays for pre-school through 5th grade, so our youth ministry covers pre-school through 12th grade every Wednesday in the school year! We work hard at helping parents grow their children into strong disciples for Christ. We love praying for and supporting missions, and going on trips ourselves! We have strong connections in Alaska, Ukraine, Texas/Mexico, Uganda, India and more. We have an inner healing ministry, called "Freedom Ministry", that is setting people free from anger, fear, unforgiveness, past hurts and more. Our women have a vibrant ministry and wonderful Bible study groups. Our men have a quarterly men's breakfast, bi-monthly Bible Study and serve in many ways, including Council and Elders, Worship Team and more. Our Sunday School hour disciples pre-school through adult, and yes, we do have a strong high school class as well. God is doing a wonderful work out here, north of Frost and just south of Interstate 90, and He's been doing it for over 150 years! We are very aware that we aren't a perfect group, but grace flows easily here and we really enjoy loving the Lord together. We don't just welcome visitors, we do our best to expect them!
