Train 226
🚂 Introducing TRAIN 226!
Beginning Wednesday, August 26, we’re launching a new training opportunity for boys and young men who want to grow more comfortable taking an active role in our worship services.
TRAIN 226 comes from the words of Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go…”
This is designed for all ages — from our little ones around 4–5 years old all the way through young men entering college. No experience is needed. The whole purpose is to start young, practice often, and grow in confidence over time.
Each week we’ll work on things like reading Scripture publicly, leading prayer, speaking in front of others, and leading songs. Some of our older young men may also have opportunities to help and encourage the younger boys as they learn.
We’ll meet Wednesdays from 6:15–6:45 PM, giving everyone a full 30 minutes of training before our regular 7:00 PM Bible classes. (TRAIN 226 will not meet on community meal nights.)
And this won’t just be practice! Each Wednesday, boys who participate will have the opportunity to lead a song before we dismiss to our regular classes, giving them real experience serving the congregation.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s helping our boys become comfortable standing up, speaking up, and serving — and giving them opportunities to grow into young men who are ready and willing to take an active role in the church.
