Children’s Hunger Fund is featured in this month’s nonprofit section, sharing more about how we equip local churches to deliver food and the hope of the gospel to children and families in need, and how our growing presence in North Texas is creating new opportunities to serve.

If you've driven down First Street in Prosper, west of the tollway, you've seen our new building.

Children's Hunger Fund's newest facility in Prosper is proud to be a notable part of the community's landscape, and while progress is being made on the outside, we're thrilled to share a closer look at the inside of our building.

Thanks to Crossland Construction, Kimley-Horn, O'Brien Architects, the Town of Prosper, and other critical partners, this building will offer a place to gather and serve those in need while dramatically increasing the number of lives who receive hope, for generations to come.

Stay tuned for more construction updates and exciting news regarding our opening in Prosper early next year.

Beat the Heat, DFW!

It may be triple digits outside, but the AC and fans are running in our Frisco Volunteer Center. Volunteering with CHF is a great way to beat the heat, and every hour spent staying cool with us also prepares essential items to keep children and families fed in their hour of need.

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in the mission of Children’s Hunger Fund to deliver hope to children and families in need.

From the CHF Dallas team, we are sending our best wishes to students, teachers, and faculty returning to school this week.

For many students in our own community, this week means more than new backpacks and schedules, it means a return to consistent, reliable meals.

Children's Hunger Fund equips local churches right here in North Texas and beyond to provide additional resources to these families, because we believe neighbors take care of

The second quarter of 2026 brought so much to celebrate in Prosper.

From the first concrete wall panels going up on our new community hub and volunteer center, to real momentum building behind our capital campaign, it has been a season of visible progress.

We also celebrated a big leadership milestone: Michael Richards, Senior Vice President, is relocating to North Texas this fall as we look ahead to opening our doors in Prosper in early 2027.

And some of our favorite moments came from the community itself, from a night of connection at Celina's Splash and Blast, to two young friends who set up a lemonade stand in the rain and raised over $100 for CHF. Generosity really does not depend on age or circumstance.

The Frisco Volunteer Center at Children's Hunger Fund had busy but very exciting days throughout July!

We loved welcoming neighbors and friends from across North Texas: homeschool groups, families serving side by side, parents bringing their kids, and incredible partners from churches, corporations, and organizations across the region.

It is a powerful picture of what happens when a community shows up. Different people, different backgrounds, all coming together with one purpose: to serve children facing hunger.

And the best part? You get to beat the Texas heat while you do it. Our volunteer center is fully indoors, so you can serve in comfort no matter how hot it gets outside.

Huge shoutout to our volunteer center and everyone who shows up to make this work possible. The work you help us do changes lives.

There is a place for you here, too. Bring your team, your family, your church group, or your organization. All ages are welcome.
