Two weeks ago, we were deeply blessed and energized by the gracious visit of HG Gauranga Prabhuji to the sacred Gita Mandir land.

Walking the grounds where future seeds of transcendental knowledge, culture, and devotion will take root was a deeply moving experience for all of us. His profound insights, guidance, and encouraging words have breathed fresh divine inspiration into the ongoing journey of the project.

*Tommorow is Annada Ekadashi!*

Wishing all devotees a very Happy Annada Ekadashi. This is most purifying and glorious Annada Ekadashi, also known as Aja Ekadashi.

The name "Annada" means "giver of food." While it may seem to refer to material well-being, its true significance is the nourishment of the soul through pure devotion.

The Brahma-vaivarta Purana narrates the story of the truthful King Harishchandra, who lost everything and was living in extreme poverty. By the instruction of a sage, he observed the Annada Ekadashi fast and, by its power, was freed from all his miseries, reunited with his family, and ultimately attained the spiritual world.

This Ekadashi is a powerful remedy for all karmic reactions. Simply by observing this fast and hearing its glories, one can be absolved of past transgressions and receive the mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna, the master of the senses.

Let us all take this opportunity to seek Lord Krishna's blessings for our own spiritual progress and the benefit of all. May this Annada Ekadashi be a day of deep spiritual realization and unalloyed devotion for all of us.

Bhagavad Gita 7.3

मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद्यतति सिद्धये ।
यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वत: ॥ ३ ॥

manuṣyāṇāṁ sahasreṣu
kaścid yatati siddhaye
yatatām api siddhānāṁ
kaścin māṁ vetti tattvataḥ

Synonyms
manuṣyāṇām — of men; sahasreṣu — out of many thousands; kaścit — someone; yatati — endeavors; siddhaye — for perfection; yatatām — of those so endeavoring; api — indeed; siddhānām — of those who have achieved perfection; kaścit — someone; mām — Me; vetti — does know; tattvataḥ — in fact.

Translation
Out of many thousands among men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth.

True spiritual realization is rare—not because it is beyond reach, but because few sincerely seek it. Through humble, loving devotion, Kṛṣṇa reveals Himself as He truly is.

*About the Speaker:

Lal Gopal das, a disciple of HH Radhanath Swami, is a dedicated student of Vedic studies with a natural inclination toward deep scriptural research and a heartfelt desire to share timeless wisdom with contemporary audiences. Known for his ability to bring complex philosophical subjects into clear, accessible language, he helps listeners connect with the essence of the scriptures in a practical and meaningful way.

Before moving to Texas, he served in multiple leadership roles at ISKCON St. Louis, including Director of Congregational Development, Principal of the Sunday School, and as a Temple President. He also collaborated with various community organizations in St. Louis to establish educational programs for children, youth, and adults.

Currently, Lal Gopal das serves as an active member of the ISKCON North America Regional Governing Body (NARGB) and as the Zonal Supervisor for the Mid-West region. In these roles, he continues to guide communities, support leaders, and contribute to the growth and stability of ISKCON across North America.
