Take a look at everywhere God has been with Grace Avenue community in just a few short weeks: on mission trips, with family, in the garden, at pride events, over meals, handing out lunches, and yes – even at Buccees!

On Juneteenth, we celebrate the day on which the news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached enslaved peoples in Texas - two years late. This day is a reminder that the work is never finished at the proclamations or after the votes have been tallied. We are not yet free until all of us are free to live into the fullness of God’s vision for us. As we approach 250 years of our country’s founding, Juneteenth reminds us to always ask the question: what freedom is yet to be granted?
