Seekers & Skeptics (formerly known as The Prodigals) is a community committed to spiritual exploration, radical inclusion, and real connection. Seekers & Skeptics makes space for where many of us find ourselves: asking questions, wrestling with old assumptions, searching for Spirit in unexpected places, and learning to trust again.

Outside the Lines: A Six-Week Book Study — Join us for a six-week book study of Mihee Kim Kort's Outside the Lines, an invitation to explore how q***r perspectives can deepen our understanding of God, ourselves, and one another. Through personal stories, biblical reflection, and thoughtful theology, Kim-Kort challenges rigid categories and imagines a faith that is more expansive, embodied, and compassionate. Whether you're LGBTQ+, an ally, questioning, or curious, you're welcome to explore faith with us in a space that values LGBTQ+ lives and experiences.

Pub Theology: Is Scripture Inspired? And What Does That Mean? (Different Location for the Summer!)

People say the Bible is “inspired,” but what does that actually mean? How do we imagine inspiration happens? Does calling something inspired mean believing everything it says is right? And is Scripture the only place we might encounter inspiration? Bring your beliefs, doubts, questions, and curiosity for an open Pub Theology conversation about what it might mean for Scripture or anything else to be “inspired.”

Reel Conversations: Great stories invite great conversations. Watch Superman (2025) before we meet, then join us as we explore how hope can emerge after disappointment, doubt, and disillusionment. Is hope simply naivete, or is there a kind of hope that can only be found after we've learned to ask hard questions?

Pub Theology is tonight! We'll be meeting at a different location this month so that we can stay cool indoors. Our topic is Liberty and Justice for All: Freedom, Free Will, and the Common Good. Freedom sounds simple until we start asking what it really means. Whether you're religious, skeptical, curious, or simply enjoy thoughtful conversations, come grab a seat at the table and share your perspective. We'll have tables reserved indoors starting as early as 6:30pm for those who want to get started early on some food.

Happy Pride Month!

We’re jumping right into this month with a crafting event to help get ready for McKinney Pride. This Thursday evening, we’re gathering to make handmade bracelets to share at our community booth — small reminders that people are loved, seen, and welcome exactly as they are. Whether you love crafts or just want to help with a meaningful, low-pressure project, we’d love all the helping hands we can get. We’ll have beads, supplies, snacks, and plenty of good conversation. Drop in whenever you can, stay as long as you’d like, and help us create little pieces of joy for our community.

Date: Thursday June 4th
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Location: Rooms 211+213 at 3521 Main Street, Frisco

The weather is looking to be fantastic for Pub Theology tonight! Hope to see you there! Here are the details:

"God as Mother"

If God is only Father, then patriarchy gets to speak for God. Feminist, womanist, q***r, and trans theologies push back, insisting the divine is not contained by maleness, nor by any one body or way of being. Together, we’ll explore God as Mother, Midwife, Womb, Wisdom, and Drag Artist, all images that birth liberation and dismantle the “man-shaped” God. Bring your inherited metaphors, your discomfort, and your curiosity; and let’s expand the divine imagination.

Monday, May 11th
7:00-8:00pm
The side patio of Holy Grail Pub in Plano
