Happy Pride Month!

We’re jumping right into this month with a crafting event to help get ready for McKinney Pride. This Thursday evening, we’re gathering to make handmade bracelets to share at our community booth — small reminders that people are loved, seen, and welcome exactly as they are. Whether you love crafts or just want to help with a meaningful, low-pressure project, we’d love all the helping hands we can get. We’ll have beads, supplies, snacks, and plenty of good conversation. Drop in whenever you can, stay as long as you’d like, and help us create little pieces of joy for our community.

Date: Thursday June 4th
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Location: Rooms 211+213 at 3521 Main Street, Frisco

The weather is looking to be fantastic for Pub Theology tonight! Hope to see you there! Here are the details:

"God as Mother"

If God is only Father, then patriarchy gets to speak for God. Feminist, womanist, q***r, and trans theologies push back, insisting the divine is not contained by maleness, nor by any one body or way of being. Together, we’ll explore God as Mother, Midwife, Womb, Wisdom, and Drag Artist, all images that birth liberation and dismantle the “man-shaped” God. Bring your inherited metaphors, your discomfort, and your curiosity; and let’s expand the divine imagination.

Mother's Day! Graduations! Recitals! Birthdays! May is a month filled with events, so for this month's Community Mill, we're going to learn how to make paper quilled cards. Paper quilling is a surprisingly simple art that creates stunning results with swirling shapes and bold patterns. Bring a bottle of craft glue if you have it, but no worries if not; we'll have plenty to share. Stick around afterward for games, puzzles, or collaborative crafting as we enjoy these final creative moments of spring together. Come play with patterns and leave with something beautiful.

Update: Note different room number this Saturday #214

We've got a Community Mill coming up this weekend!

Each second Saturday, we gather for a relaxed and creative space to enjoy together. This weekend, we’re going to lean into creative flexibility. We’ll bring acrylic paint pour supplies to share. Whether you want to try out acrylic paint pouring or bring whatever you’ve been working on lately, there will be space to create, play, and simply be together without an agenda. Come mill around, share what you’ve been working on (or not working on), and enjoy a little unstructured time in community together.

We'll see you there:

Our last study of the spring will start next week on April 14. We're talking about Rooting Out what Harms and Growing what Heals.

Christianity hasn’t always honored the sacredness of bodies or the living world, and many of us inherited stories that pull us apart from ourselves, each other, and creation. In this next step of our journey, we’ll re-examine the hierarchical ideas we've inherited and explore how we might knit bonds of belonging back together. Through shared reflection and simple practices, we’ll look for a faith that helps all of life flourish.

📆 3 Weeks on Tuesdays, April 14-28
🕒 6:30-8:00pm

This study has moved to ONLINE ONLY. Register at seekersandskeptics.org to receive the Zoom link.

We've got a Community Mill coming up this weekend!

Each second Saturday, we gather for a relaxed and creative space to enjoy together. Let color move freely this month as we explore acrylic paint pouring, a playful, intuitive art form where no two creations are alike. Bring a small canvas if you’d like to personalize your project; we’ll have paint supplies ready and extra canvases available for anyone who needs them.

Whether you want to try the pour or would rather puzzle, play games, or simply enjoy community time — this is a space to celebrate creativity, surprise, and the beauty of letting go. Come to make something new, make a friend, and maybe grab lunch with folks afterward!

✨ Decluttering Faith, Decolonizing God
📆 Tuesdays | February 10 - March 3
🕒 6:30-8:00pm
📍 Frisco Public Library

Decluttering Faith, Decolonizing Christianity is a four-week class for anyone who’s ever thought, “If God is love… why does Christianity sometimes feel like control?” We’ll dig into how empire snuck into theology, how harmful ideas got labeled “gospel,” and how we can tell better stories going forward. Come ready to wrestle, question, and imagine Christianity that actually looks like liberation.
