Each home is led by a widow mama who has chosen to raise a family. Four boys. Four girls.

Together, they share daily life. Meals, school, faith, and routines all happen within the same home. It’s simple, but it’s intentional. Because stability and permanency are not created through programs. They are built through family.

Through school, the Afterschool Academy, and scholarships, children are equipped with the tools they need for adulthood. Academic support helps them overcome real barriers, while consistent guidance builds discipline, confidence, and character.

At the same time, they are growing in their faith and understanding who they are in Christ. This is where preparation happens. Not just for a career, but for a life of purpose.

Real change goes beyond what we can see.

The Thrive Program is helping raise the standard of care for children across Zambia by equipping children’s home leaders with a clear, practical framework to evaluate and improve how they care for every child.

Through a simple but powerful cycle, leaders assess their care, create a focused improvement plan, and take action over time. Then they reassess and keep growing.

What started as a pilot is now active in 15 homes, strengthening care for hundreds of children.

This is impact that multiplies. Not just caring for children, but helping transform how care happens across an entire system.

“I have grown from a timid child into a young adult who believes she can do anything.”

Juliet’s story is one of transformation.

After losing her father, she and her sisters faced uncertainty and instability. But everything changed when they found a home at Every Orphan’s Hope.

What began with fear turned into belonging. Through consistent care, daily prayer, and the presence of a loving family, Juliet grew in confidence, faith, and purpose.

Today, she is in her final year at the University of Zambia, pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management with a heart to help others feel seen, valued, and supported.

This is what happens when a child is not just rescued, but raised in a family.
