✨ When life doesn’t look like what you prayed for… ✨
Disappointment hits differently when you’re trying to live right. When you’ve obeyed God, worked hard, loved well—and still feel like your life hasn’t caught up to your faith.
But here’s what I’ve learned as both a believer and a therapist:
We often tie our worth to achievement instead of alignment. In social psychology, this is called “achievement-based identity”, when our sense of value depends on external success instead of internal peace. Spiritually, this can lead us to confuse progress with proximity, thinking God’s silence means distance, when in reality He’s deepening our roots. 🌱
Sometimes, obedience doesn’t look like forward motion, it looks like staying still, trusting, and not quitting.
God’s idea of success isn’t the house, the job, the perfect family photo, or the business milestone.
It’s your yes when no one’s clapping.
It’s your faithfulness when you feel forgotten.
It’s your trust when you can’t trace Him.
📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
So if you’re a couple, a parent, or a family waiting on God, remember this: success in the Kingdom is measured by obedience, not outcome. 💛
Keep building. Keep believing. God hasn’t forgotten your name.
