Not all creative decisions turn out as planned... but we baptized 28 people yesterday!

Our bodies need rest. Our hearts need healing. Our souls need the presence of God. On the seventh day of creation, God implemented rest which is a ceasing from work, a rhythm that Adam enjoyed immediately. The Israelites in the wilderness were commanded to collect extra food ahead of their sabbath day and trust that God had given them enough. In Matthew 11, Jesus invites us to reorder our hurried lives around Him. Jesus is our rest. Pastor Ryan Akers teaches this week’s message from our mini-series, “Rest and Work.”

Love is more than a feeling! This is especially true of the love we’re called to have for our enemies. Matthew 5:43-48 sets the record straight even going as far as telling us to pray for those who persecute us. Pastor Jeff Maness teaches this week’s message on the right posturing of someone who carries “enemy love.”

Good food, country music, tie-dye, and most importantly, a whole lot of community.

There's something beautiful about seeing our Village come together to eat, laugh, create, and connect. These moments are a big part of what makes Everybody's Place feel like home.

A huge thank you to KJIC, The Harbor, My-Dyes, Downtown T-Shirt Factory, and Milo's Tea Company for helping make the evening possible. And thank you to everyone who showed up, served, ate a burger, made something colorful, or simply spent time getting to know a Neighbor.

God has allowed people to be satisfied in both marriage and singleness. Jesus speaks to the hardships and difficulties of marriage. He also lived the most complete and purpose driven life as a single man. God can meet us in the difficulties of marriage and in the opportunity of singleness.
