We cannot hold the world to the same standard as believers...

God's commands are fruitful to follow, but what about people who don't want to follow Jesus? We have to extend mercy to those who don;t believe. As God heals us and works His spirit in us, we will find ourselves convicted to show mercy that we have been shown while we were still sinners.

Message: Have Mercy

Join us as we celebrate the wit, wisdom, and faithful service of Pastor David Miller on his final Sunday at The Harbor after 11 years as our Community Care Pastor and 45 years in ministry. In this special conversation, Senior Pastor Jeff Maness sits down with David to reflect on the journey God has led him on, the lives he has touched, and the lessons he has learned along the way. You'll laugh, be encouraged, and gain insight from a pastor whose love for people and passion for Jesus have left a lasting impact on our church family. As we honor David's remarkable legacy, we also express our gratitude and send him into this next season with our love and prayers.

Let's thank the Lord for His faithfulness in Pastor David Miller's life. He has cared so well for our community and our people. Show your gratitude when you see him around the church!

Today we celebrated the last day of 45 years of ministry for our care pastor, David Miller. We are both sad and celebrating that his service in vocational ministry is coming to an end. Let's encourage David and be continually praying for what is next to come in life and in his walk with Jesus. If you see him around, express your graditude for his work all of these years.

Unforgiveness hurts us...

Forgiveness releases us from grudges we hold. We can extend grace and mercy because we have been shown mercy first by God. We must desire and decide to be merciful to others. As God heals us and works His spirit in us, we will find ourselves convicted to show mercy that we have been shown.

Ananias House is a new monthly partner of The Harbor and we enjoyed having John Samara share stories of hope in the persecuted world yesterday in our services.

05/25/2026

In the last message of our series B(less)ed, the founder and executive director of Ananias House, John Samara shares powerful stories of hope and transformation from the persecuted church in the Middle East and North Africa. You will be challenged and encouraged by these moving stories of God's love changing hearts and lives in this Muslim area of the world where faith often comes at a great cost.

Matthew 5:10-12: God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

John shared MANY stories today about the work of the Lord in persecuted areas. Here is one more!

People need to hear the message of the Gospel, but someone needs to tell them. Sharing our faith is showing love.

The persecuted are "blessed" as Jesus puts it in Matthew 5:10. "The kingdom of heaven is theirs", said Jesus.

It is a privilege to live in the United States where we can share our faith with out the same fear. It requires bold faith to share our witness of God's work in our life.
