The Friedensburg Christian Preschool The Friedensburg Christian Preschool serves the local area as an outreach ministry of St. John's Lutheran Church for 3, 4 and 5 year olds.

Goals of the Friedensburg
Christian Preschool
To develop the child’s confidence and self-esteem so they feel good about him/herself and what he/she is able to do as a child of God. To help the child feel very good about being a part of God’s family. To challenge the child’s creativity. To encourage the child’s curiosity. To realize that all that we have is a gift from God and that we must do our part to take care of each other and His world. To learn to treat others with respect and kindness. To work on many preschool skills:
COGNITIVE DELEOPMENT
Through various planned activities, we will make discoveries in the areas of science, math, social studies and language. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Speech will be developed through books, music, finger plays, story telling, and puppetry. GROSS MOTOR SKILLS
Games and activities that include running, jumping, throwing, climbing and balancing will be included each day. FINE MOTOR SKILLS
Puzzles, games, beads, blocks, etc. will be made available during free play. Art projects will be created to help increase fine motor skills. Recognition of letter, colors and numbers will be encouraged. To sing, laugh, share and enjoy being in a Christian community.

We are trying to reopen our afternoon mixed class. This class would be a combined class of 3 and 4 year olds. The 3 year olds would meet on Monday and Wednesday from 12:30-3. The 4 year olds would meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30-3 If you are interested in sending your child to preschool please send us a message for more information.

Today I was invited to attend St Peter's Lutheran Church, in Pine Grove, to watch a former preschool student become a confirmed member of his church. To my surprise, I had 2 of the 3 confirmation students in preschool! Thank you for the invitation Lindsay! Congratulations to all 3 of the confirmation students especially Hunter and Calista!

Registration for the Friedensburg Christian Preschool is now open to the public. I have room in my 3 year old class, that meets on Tues and Thurs mornings. Our morning 4 year old class is currently full, however we have to potential to open an afternoon class that would meet on Mon, Wed, and Fri.
