There is a viral post going around about a broken person coming to church and you sat with them. I love it...and re-wrote it to give it another angle to consider...

PLEASE COME AND SIT WITH ME!!!!
I got hammered at the bar on Saturday… And you came to sit with me. You’re right where you need to be.
I’m a drug addict in rehab…. And you came to sit with me. You’re right where you need to be.
I’m divorced, and the last church I attended condemned me for it…. And you came to sit with me. You’re right where you need to be.
I’ve had an abortion and it’s slowly eating away at my heart …. And you came to sit with me. You’re right where you need to be.
I’ve been unfaithful to my spouse and was embarrassed to come to church on Sunday…. And you came to sit with me. You’re right where you need to be.
Here’s the thing, people don’t come to church on Sunday because they fear you will sit in the pew and quietly judge them because you feel that you’re somehow better than them.
People come to church because you first came to them. In their deepest, darkest, most painful moments, they heard about a man named Jesus who could save their soul and they’d like to know Him.
John 17:18.... Jesus said, “As you sent me into the world, so I am sending you into the world."
