While today we celebrate the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, usually January 25 marks the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. Once “breathing murderous threats” against Christians (Acts 9:1), our patron St. Paul became a prolific evangelizer in the early Church following his life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. His story is a reminder of the importance of praying for the conversion of hearts—starting with our own—and never losing hope, knowing that “where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more” (Romans 5:20). St. Paul, our great missionary patron, pray for us!
