On Ramps Covenant Church

On Ramps Covenant Church 1955 Broadway St. in Downtown Fresno
Bible Study - Tuesday Nights a 6pm \\ Worship Gatherings - Saturday Nights at 6pm At On Ramps we embrace tension.

On Ramps Covenant Church is a multi-ethnic, multi-class, multi-cultural, multi-generational church that is pursuing reconciliation. Where other churches divide, we lean in. We are a tongue-speaking, book of common prayer-reading, gospel-singing, lectio divina-participating, flip flop-wearing, stained glass-displaying, miracles-believing church. We believe all of this is from God. Therefore, we cre

ate room for it all and trust the Holy Spirit to make it all work. On Ramps is intentional about living out the mission of the church as a faith community that "gathers" and "scatters." We believe that while gathering is a pretty natural function of the 21st Century American Church, scattering is not. Therefore, On Ramps has initiated Street Parishes in our neighborhood to help people go deeper in Christ and further in mission while concentrating on specific streets and being "first responders" there.

Tonight was one of those nights that reminds us why community matters so much. đź’›

Our teen girls gathered for Bible study and practical conversations about growing up, healthy habits, routines, confidence, and caring for themselves well. We shared laughs, stories, received journals and hygiene gifts, and engaged in meaningful conversations together.

At On Ramps we are grateful for the opportunity to create spaces where girls feel safe, encouraged, seen, and supported by wise women around them.

The next generation deserves both truth and tenderness.

Here’s to growing, evolving, becoming, and walking confidently into the young women God is shaping them to be.

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord almighty.”
Then one of the Seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
Isaiah 6:5-7

The altar is the place of encounter, restoration and cleansing, where we are touched by the Lords firey presence, where we wake up to reality, where our unclean lips and our distorted vision is healed, where the fear of wrath is met with the joy of reconciliation.

This alter which once was kept hidden in the temple is now the table of fellowship in Christ’s name, where he freely offers us his very own self; his shed blood and broken body, as gifts for our healing. Let’s us meet him there for he stands waiting to receive us!

Thank you for your powerful message to us Saturday, Pastor Jess ()

Shalom, it’s not just a word for us. It’s how we live. It’s how we love. It’s how we hold ourselves together through the good and the bad. We believe that everyone and everything can live in harmony under the loving rule of God.

And Easter reminds us why we believe that.

In the death and resurrection of Jesus, we see the truest picture of shalom. What was broken was not left broken. What looked lost was not beyond restoration. What seemed overcome by suffering, sin, and death was met by the power of God’s life and love.

Easter tells us that shalom will always overcome because Jesus has overcome.

So we keep choosing peace.
We keep choosing love.
We keep choosing reconciliation.
We keep believing that resurrection is stronger than ruin and that in Christ, healing, wholeness, and harmony are still possible.

We are about 90% complete with the cafe and we want to see you in it! Come by Saturday 5pm and enjoy some company and conversation with neighbors.

At On Ramps, we want to use what God has given us to its fullest potential. When we purchased the Impact Center in 2019, our founding pastor helped us believe that this building was never just for us… it was for ministry. She reminded us that this facility could become a place where serving others happens often and organically.

That vision continues in our cafe.

This space is more than a room. It is a third space for people to gather, share stories, encourage one another, and grow in community. It is the kind of place that reflects Hebrews 10:24–25, where we spur one another on toward love and good deeds and do not neglect meeting together.

We are celebrating not only the work that was done in this cafe, but also the new work this space will now carry. The work of welcome. The work of discipleship. The work of conversation, care, and connection. The work of creating room for God to move in the lives of His people.

We are thankful for every person who helped bring this space to life, and we cannot wait to see all the ministry that will happen here.
