Who are we:
We are a community of Christ followers who seek to love our Lord and our neighbor. We’re the Christian Reformed chur

ch. Our name is Christian because we confess that we belong to Jesus Christ and seek to be his followers. Our name is Reformed because we’re part of that historic branch of the Christian church. The accents of the reformed faith include the authority of the Scriptures, the sovereignty of our Lord over all life, salvation by grace alone, and a desire to work for the kingdom of God in all of life. We are a church because God has called us out to be His people in this world. CORE VALUES
CONNECTIVE WORSHIP: We honor Jesus Christ, celebrate God’s grace and communicate His truth in ways that are helpful for all who worship, young and old, friends and members alike. We recognize worship is dedicated to the audience of one-our Lord. We seek to provide means by which the community can truly worship in spirit and in truth. EXPECTANT PRAYER: We pray with growing expectancy and increased fervency, seeking to know God and His will, opening ourselves to His Spirit’s leading. FAITHFUL WITNESS: We share the unchanging message of Jesus Christ by building relationship where we live, work, study and play. HELPFUL SERVICE: We extend loving, dignity-enhancing, concrete help to people in our community who struggle to meet basic human needs. CARING FAMILY: We care for one another as a family, sharing together and loving each other through all stages of life, assisting one another in times of special need. INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP: We pursue maturity of heart and mind as we disciple one another in the faith. We assist one another to follow Christ fully and encourage all to use their gifts in service. PURPOSEFUL UNITY: We maintain the unity of our body, seek interaction with all members in our life and work, and carefully listen to one another, so that Christ is honored and our ministry is effective. CULTURAL DIVERSITY: We embrace within each ministry the cultural/ethnic diversity in our community and promote greater racial understanding, healing and equality. GENEROUS SHARING: We warmly welcome our community to enjoy God’s beauty in well-maintained facilities and generously support local, regional, national and international ministries. CONSISTENT EXCELLENCE: We seek excellence in all that we undertake so that God will be honored in our life and ministry. This excellence is demonstrated through ministries, leadership, facilities, communication, and discipleship.

Good morning, Facebook community! It is a cool and rainy day in Fresno, but this morning as we worship together we will celebrate God's grace and God's peace, despite our own struggles and doubt. Join us at 9:30 as we look at Thomas' encounter with the risen Lord and the hope that brings for all of us.

Good morning, church family! We are thankful for another Sabbath of rest, worship and gathering together in God's presence as a community. This week is a busy week around the church and we wanted to make sure you all have it on your calendar to stop by church on Friday morning at 8:00am to help setup and share a blessing with families in need. We will be having our monthly food distribution on Friday, Dec. 15th at 8:00am. Come one, come all to bless our neighborhood.

Yesterday, Pastor Bruce shared with us a message focused on the Christmas story through the gospel of Matthew. If you were not able to join us, please visit our YouTube channel to watch a recap of yesterday's service.

For today's scripture verse, I would like to share the word that the angel shared with Joseph in Matthew 1:23
"'Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name Him Emmanuel', which means, 'God is with us.'"

are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for from you shall come a ruler
who is to shepherd my people Israel.”

This morning, I wanted to share a few resources highlighted on our denominations website with great devotionals for you and your families to focus on Christ this Christmas season. Fro the full list, check out the CRC post below in the links. Our family enjoys doing the Jesse Tree every day during advent to help our children understand the unfolding of God's promises all throughout the Old Testament leading up to the birth of Christ. Today's reading covers the birth of Isaac. Highlighting how hard it is to wait. Waiting through all of advent for Jesus to be born can be hard, but can we imagine how hard it must have been for Abraham and Sarah to wait all of those years for God to fulfill his promise to them, with the birth of Isaac.

"After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.’ But Abram said, ‘O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?’ And Abram said, ‘You have given me no offspring, and so a slave born in my house is to be my heir.’ But the word of the Lord came to him, ‘This man shall not be your heir; no one but your very own issue shall be your heir.’ He brought him outside and said, ‘Look towards heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your descendants be.’ And he believed the Lord; and the Lord reckoned it to him as righteousness.

The Lord dealt with Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as he had promised. Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the time of which God had spoken to him. Abraham gave the name Isaac to his son whom Sarah bore him. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him. Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. Now Sarah said, ‘God has brought laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.’ And she said, ‘Who would ever have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.’
-Genesis 15:1-6; 21:1-7

And of course, a very happy birthday today to Duyst and Persenaire! 🎉🎈🎊 We thank and praise God for both of you!

Good morning, church family!

as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah,
‘The voice of one crying out in the wilderness:
“Prepare the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.
Every valley shall be filled,
and every mountain and hill shall be made low,
and the crooked shall be made straight,
and the rough ways made smooth;
and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” ’
