Prophesies For Year 2016

FOR INDIVIDUALS
1 Some families will trace the beginning of their generational blessings to this year.
2. Some will receive help from unexpected sources.
3. Grateful hearts will have more causes to be grateful
4. For many, the pendulum of life in generally on the upward swing now, a chosen few will receive blessings so large they can hardly contain.

FOR NIGERIA
1. Things are likely to get tougher, before they get better, but things will definitely get better before the year ends.
2. What He started last year, He will finish this year, provided we don’t rejoice too soon.

INTERNATIONAL
1. Natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, are likely to get progressively worse, until governments realize that these are part of divine judgement against those who have passed unholy laws. If governments will repent of disdaining Christ and His church, He will help them win the fight against terrorism.
2. A major war will be averted this year
3. A new sexually transmitted diseases will surface.

THE LAW OF PROCESS
TEXT: Matthew 3:13-17
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Introduction
Life is in phases. Anyone who wants to lead and succeed must be intentional about going through a process. The longest route between two points is always a shortcut. Believers need to commit to a life of process to achieve orderly growth and make maximum impact.

DEFINITION OF PROCESS
Process is a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.

THE LAW OF PROCESS
This law refers to the fact that Leaders develop daily. Not in a day. To lead well takes a long period of time.
Leadership is a complicated journey. It entails planning, adjusting, taking the journey, going through pain etc.
Leadership entails a period of growth. If you jump up you will come down.you cannot be microwaved as a leader.

"Leadership is learned over time. Leaders are always learners." Matthew 11:29
-Leadership develops daily not in a day. "Righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith" Romans 1:17
-Leadership is like investing- it compounds. Galatians 6:7-10

You can learn the law of process by committing to the principle of progression in life. Philippians 3:14

THE FIVE PHASES OF LEADERSHIP
I don't know what I don't know (Ethiopian Eu**ch and Philip in Acts 8:30-31).
I know what I need to know. Daniel 11:32 "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." (Job 19:12 "I know my Redeemer Liveth")
I know what I don't know (What is your plan for growth?) Romans 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
I know and grow- it starts to show. Peter in Acts 2:2-5 and 4:13; David in 1 Samuel 17:32-37 demonstrated his knowledge and growth.
I simply go because of what I know. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Topic: The Essence of Prayer (1)
Luke 11:1-5
"And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves"

INTRODUCTION
Prayer is basically a process of communication between God and mankind. It is an avenue where both God and the living souls He created sustains their divine relationship. In this study we shall consider why Prayer is more than making requests from God.

1. To discover and Love the God we cannot see or touch. 1 John 4:15-16
"Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."
2. To experience Christ and walk in His paths.
1 Thessalonians 2:12
"That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory."
3. To learn how to be led by, work and walk with the Holy Spirit.
Psalms 32:8
8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
4. To have a clear revelation and call for the spiritual power and make us "to do the right thing" in every given circumstance. "He prayeth" Acts 9:11 and
" I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because[ he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence[ is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand[ there are] pleasures for evermore " (Psalms 16:7-11).
5. To help you affirm and boldly confess who you are in Christ.
-Titus 3:7-8
"That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8[ This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men."
James 2:5
"Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?"
-Galatians 3:29
"And if ye[ be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

HOW REVIVAL HAPPENS

TEXT: Luke 10:1-2
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

INTRODUCTION
The fact that there are many unbelievers openly defying the laws of God is an evidence that the harvest for salvation is truly ripe. God is certainly going to revive His works in the midst of the year (Habakuk 3:2). He desires a new order where righteousness reigns and more souls are won into His kingdom. However, God requires that His children play their part (2 Chronicles 7:14).

The love of God: If you appreciate the sacrifice that God and Jesus made to redeem you from the curse of the love you ought to respond by loving God completely (John 3:16 and 1 John 4:8)
A burden: When Jesus, the burden bearer, takes care of your burden God expects you to have a burden for righteousness that makes souls to be saved (Proverbs 14:34 and Matthew 11:30).
A passion for souls: You must release your inner man and positive emotions to pursue the soul winning agenda of God. You must advertise your zeal for what is dear to the heart of God (2 Kings 10:16 and Psalms 69:9).
Personal revival: Anyone getting involved in revival must first experience personal revival. Saul of Tarsus in Acts 9 experienced a personal revival (2 Corinthians 5:17&18).
Fervent Prayers: Revival does not happen overnight. It responds to the continuous supplications of believers (Acts 2:1-4 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Networking believers: When believers who agree that there is a need for revival come together (Ephesians 4:3, Psalm 133:1 and Colossians 2:2) it is easier to reach out to unbelievers. Believers must gather in one accord to lift up the name of the Lord. "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." (John 12:32)
Opening of Home Doors: When your heart is genuinely open to God He requests that you open the doors of your home to unbelievers. Believers must be willing to sacrifice their comfort and privacy. A great revival begins from the houses and homes of believers. 1 Corinthians 16:19 "The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house." (Acts 18:2,19 and 26). Those who are genuinely passionate about revival must open the doors to their houses to allow unbelievers fellowship with them in a family and friendly setting. If you can attract yours neighbors to fellowship in your home you will find it easier to convince them to follow you to the church. "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother" (Proverbs 18:24).

CONCLUSION
If you commit to sharing the gospel with a neighbor you will be igniting the fire of revival in your community. Revival will happen when you play your part in prayer, networking with other believers, reaching out and receiving unbelievers to share the gospel with them in a friendly home environment.

Topic: THE MEANING OF A REVIVAL

TEXT: 2 Chronicles 7:12-14
And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

INTRODUCTION: The developments in the world today suggest that there is a desperate need for God in our communities and nations. This can only be brought about when revival, through God's power, spreads across our various communities. However, revival will not begin until Christians (leaders and followers) experience personal revival. Revival will then happen when individual Christians who have experienced revival come together and pray.

Today we want to answer in some details: what is a revival?
1. It is a time when Christians collectively humble themselves before God in true repentance – Lam.3:40-42, Hos.6:1-3, Ezra 10:1-13, Luke 3:1-20.
2. It is a time when Christians collectively rejects the idols in their lives. By idols we mean anything that is striving to displace God as our number one priority – II Kings 23:4,
II Chro. 19:3, Acts 19:17-20.
3. It is a time when Christians collectively seek the Lord afresh and wholeheartedly. This brings in the sinners too – Zechariah 8:20-23, Ps. 80:7, Acts 9:25, Acts 11:21.
4. It is a time of spiritual repairs after satanic destruction. This is because whenever a people seek the face of the Lord in truth the Lord will move on their behalf, Isa.57:15-17, Jere. 3:21-22, Hosea 14:4-8, Joel 2:25-27.
5. It is a time of the restoration of the joy of Salvation and divine blessings – Ps. 51:12-13, Ps. 85:6, Acts 8:8, II Chron. 7:12-14.
This is because as the people seek the Lord the more a desire to pray more often develops in them until it envelops them – Psalms 80:18, Acts 2:42-47.

CONCLUSION: Shall we now collectively humble ourselves before the Most High is true repentance confessing our sins and rejecting them? Shall we collectively seek the Lord our Redeemer afresh and in truth? Shall we or shall we not?
