What does the empty tomb mean to you today? 👇
The stone wasn’t just rolled away… it was a declaration. Death was defeated. Sin was conquered. Hope was restored. The grave could not hold Him. 🙌 What looked sealed and final was opened by the power of God. And that same power is still moving today... in broken places, in weary hearts, in situations that feel impossible. Easter reminds us: nothing is too far gone. Nothing is beyond redemption. He is risen… and because He lives, hope is alive in you too. 💛 We’ve created devotionals and peaceful worship to help you stay rooted in that hope and walk in the truth of resurrection life. Worship + devotionals in bio.

This is good to remember on Maundy Thursday, as we remember the Last Supper.

"So come to the table, not because you must but because you may" -- do not think yourself unworthy to sit at his table --
Re the hymn below: my favorite verse in which Charles tells it like it is, is at the end of this post!

Come, sinners, to the gospel-feast,
Let every soul be Jesus' guest,
You need not one be left behind,
For God hath bid all humankind.

Sent by my Lord, on you I call,
The invitation is to all.
Come all the world: come, sinner, thou,
All things in Christ are ready now.

Jesus to you his fulness brings,
A feast of marrow, and fat things:
All, all in Christ is freely given,
Pardon, and holiness, and heaven.

Do not begin to make excuse,
Ah! Do not you his grace refuse;
Your worldly cares and pleasures leave,
And take what Jesus hath to give.

Sinners my gracious Lord receives,
Harlots, and publicans, and thieves,
Drunkards, and all the hellish crew,
I have a message now to you. ~ Charles Wesley

Holy Week begins quietly… with palms waving, hearts hopeful, and a Savior walking steadily toward the cross. This is the week that reminds us: God enters our lives not with force, but with humility. Not to avoid suffering, but to redeem it. Before the resurrection comes surrender. Before the victory comes love poured out. “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” — Luke 19:38

At the beginning of a new year, many United Methodists renew their covenant with God with a Covenant Service and a recitation of the Wesley Covenant Prayer--a prayer which John Wesley adapted from the Puritan tradition.

The prayer invites us to rededicate our lives to serving as Jesus' representatives in the world. It invites us into participating in self-emptying love.

May the words inspire you and your spiritual journey in the new year. Blessings and Happy New Year.
