Our Vision at Bread of Life Church is to see a local church family that desires the Kingdom of God to come to earth as it is in heaven. This would be lived out through passionately worshipping God and truly loving one another. We desire to live in the presence and power of God and to walk out authentic Christianity as it is revealed in the Book of Acts.

When life feels heavy and your strength feels low, don’t chase another temporary moment of happiness, return to the presence of God. His joy runs deeper than our circumstances, and it becomes the strength that carries us through.

THREE THINGS PRAISE ACTUALLY DOES (THAT MOST PEOPLE MISS)

First, praise tells the truth. It doesn't lift us out of what we're walking through, and it doesn't ask us to pretend everything's fine. Faith doesn't require us lying about what we're experiencing.

We can say it out loud: I don't know how I'm going to pay rent next month. I don't know how I'm going to cover school for my kids. This hurts, and I don't understand it. Habakkuk landed in the same place, in Habakkuk 3:18: "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!"

Second, praise declares who God is before the breakthrough shows up. It's easy to praise five minutes after He comes through: the promotion, the baby, the good deal on meat at the store. Praise God before those things come through.

Third, praise says God is still good when nothing has changed yet. It gets powerful the moment it stops depending on the outcome: "You are still good, despite what's going on."

When our praise depends on how we feel, we've handed our circumstances the authority to decide whether God is worthy. He's worthy either way. So what changes this week if you praise Him before anything changes?

THREE WARNINGS JESUS GAVE THAT MOST PEOPLE MISS

Start with the first one. There's a broad path that's constantly calling you to itself. It looks open, it feels easy, and it carries you toward an eternity without God.

Then comes the second. Some people show up claiming to be something they're not. Jesus called them ravenous wolves. They're not true and they're not real. Watch out for them.

The third one is the scariest. These people are convinced they're in the Kingdom of God, and they're not in it at all. They have the appearance of something and don't have the reality of it.

All three warnings land in the same place. Anyone can build an appearance. What's real underneath is what actually knows God. So if the appearance came off tomorrow, what would be left?

WHY YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULDN'T CHANGE HOW YOU WORSHIP

Some weeks just flatten us. The tiredness, the pressure, and the feeling that everything's hitting at once. Right there, we still have a choice to make: to praise Him and declare His worthiness.

Most of us know the reflex. This week was so hard, I'm so tired, and the devil was really getting to me. So worship gets pushed back until life settles down.

The devil and God are not on par. God isn't in a losing battle. He isn't straining to hold His ground. If you're a child of God, you're already standing on the winning side.

Worship becomes our response to the struggle. Put on worship music in the middle of a hard moment and the mood starts to shift. The kids freak out a little less. We're more at peace, and they can see it.

Turning that music on is a prayer: Lord, I'm not going to put value in this struggle. I'm going to focus on You, because You are holy and worthy of everything inside of me. What if worship is where this week starts for you?
