Acts 2:38

38 “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””

* Repentance: The first command is to “Amend your lives, and change direction” (repent) from sin. 

* Baptism: Believers are instructed to be baptized “in the name of Jesus Christ”. 

* Forgiveness of Sins: Baptism is for the “remission” or “forgiveness” of sins. 

* Gift of the Holy Spirit: Following repentance and baptism, the promise is to receive the Holy Spirit.

Lady B. Alvarez and Lady T. Perez gave the Ladies a wonderful encouraging word.

This means that we should make God’s kingdom and what is right according to Him our top priority. It’s a way of living that focuses on following God’s teachings and being good to others. Overall, prioritizing God’s kingdom and righteousness means that we are choosing to live in a way that reflects His character. It’s about making decisions that align with what is right and good, and inspiring others to do the same. By keeping these values at the forefront, we can help create a better world for ourselves and those around us.

God’s Love and Value for Humans: This passage talks about how flowers are beautiful but only for a little while. They bloom, look pretty, and then fade away. This is a reminder that many things in life are temporary and don’t last forever.

God knows the value of His people, He cares for us deeply and loves us in a way that lasts forever. The flowers might attract our attention with their bright colors and sweet scents, but they eventually wither and die. However, God’s love for us does not fade; it remains strong and constant

Futility of Worry: worry and anxiety over material things are unproductive and can distract from faith and righteous living.

“Consider the Lilies” from Matthew 6, teaches us that trusting God for provision is more effective than “anxious toil” because He perfectly cares for the lilies, providing them with unparalleled beauty without effort, and is far more valuable in caring for His children.
