Mother’s Day was such a beautiful and special time together. We started the morning with Muffins with Moms, where so many mothers and their loved ones gathered to enjoy pastries, muffins, donuts, fruit, coffee, and juice together. The room was filled with so much joy, laughter, love, and appreciation as many moms were able to honor and celebrate one another.
After a lovely morning of fellowship, we entered into prayer and service with hearts full of gratitude. Praise and worship quickly became a moment of thanking God for the mothers in our lives — those present with us and those remembered dearly in our hearts.
We then went into presentations from different ministries including children’s, youth, and men’s ministry, all taking time to honor the mothers with flowers and gifts. It was a beautiful reminder of how loved and appreciated our mothers truly are. We finished this portion by bringing all the mothers forward one last time to receive flowers and be honored together 🌸
Pastor then brought forth a timely and heartfelt word titled “The Hands That Shaped Us” from 2 Timothy 1:5, reminding us of the powerful role mothers have in shaping their children, families, and future generations through love, faith, sacrifice, and prayer.
Families and children joined their mothers at the altar as we reflected on the impact godly women have in our lives. We closed together in prayer, thanksgiving, and blessing over every mother and family represented.
After service, many families stayed to take portraits at the beautiful photo setup and continue celebrating together. We also had the joy of celebrating both Ruth’s and Pastor’s birthdays — making it an extra special day for Ruth as both a mother and birthday celebrant 🎉
We also want to take a moment to honor First Lady Maggie. Although she was unable to be present due to family matters, she continues to be such a blessing, gift, and example to our church family. We are grateful for her heart as both a loving mother to her children and a spiritual mother to so many within the church.
To every mother — thank you, we love you, and we continue praying God’s blessings over your lives ❤️
