Everyone laughs at a fart. Because we all know what it is.
A fart is just what was already inside you, finding a way out. You can't fake it. You can't hide it forever. You can't blame the guy next to you (we all try).
Eventually, what's on the inside gets revealed.
Now let me ask you a different question:
What's a fart that comes from your heart?
Jesus already answered that one:
"What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come β sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person." β Mark 7:20-23
Our words. Our reactions. Our attitudes when nobody's clapping for us.
That's the gas of the heart. And under pressure, it comes out β whether we plan it or not.
π When someone offends you, what comes out?
π When life squeezes you, what comes out?
π When no one's watching, what comes out?
Your life is producing evidence every single day of what's actually filling your heart.
Angry heart β anger leaks out.
Proud heart β pride leaks out.
Bitter heart β bitterness leaks out.
But a heart filled with Christ? Love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, patience, and truth start leaking out instead.
You can't perfume the outside and fix the inside. Only God can transform the source.
So today, don't just ask "what came out of me?"
Ask the real question:
"What does what came out of me reveal about what's living in my heart?"
Because whatever fills the heart will always find its way out. π₯
