❤️✨ Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus—one of the most significant feasts of the Catholic faith—inviting us to contemplate Christ’s infinite, merciful, and reparative love for all humanity.
This celebration originates from the revelations Jesus made to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century. He asked for a special feast to be established in honor of His Heart, promising abundant graces to those who would promote this devotion and seek to make reparation for the offenses committed against His love.
The Sacred Heart is the living symbol of God’s love—a love that never tires of waiting for, forgiving, and accompanying His children. Throughout the centuries, countless saints, popes, and communities have fostered this spirituality, which continues to transform lives and strengthen the faith of millions of believers worldwide.
From Blessed Pius IX—who officially established this feast for the universal Church in 1856—to Saint John Paul II—who instituted the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests on this date—devotion to the Heart of Jesus has held a central place in the life of the Church.
Recently, Pope Francis deepened our understanding of this spiritual richness in his encyclical *Dilexit Nos* ("He Loved Us"). He reminds us that when we venerate the Heart of Christ, we are not worshipping an isolated symbol, but Jesus Christ Himself—the source of human and divine love who laid down His life for our salvation.
On this special day, let us renew our trust in the Lord and open our hearts to His transforming love. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus reign in our families, communities, and hearts, guiding us always along the paths of faith, hope, and charity.

❤️✨ Hoy la Iglesia celebra la Solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, una de las festividades más significativas de la fe católica, que nos invita a contemplar el amor infinito, misericordioso y reparador de Cristo por toda la humanidad.
Esta celebración tiene su origen en las revelaciones que Jesús hizo a Santa Margarita María de Alacoque en el siglo XVII, cuando le pidió que se instituyera una fiesta especial en honor a su Corazón, prometiendo abundantes gracias a quienes promovieran esta devoción y buscaran reparar las ofensas recibidas por su amor.
El Sagrado Corazón es el símbolo vivo del amor de Dios que nunca se cansa de esperar, perdonar y acompañar a sus hijos. A través de los siglos, numerosos santos, papas y comunidades han impulsado esta espiritualidad que sigue transformando vidas y fortaleciendo la fe de millones de creyentes en todo el mundo.
Desde el Beato Pío IX, quien estableció oficialmente esta fiesta para toda la Iglesia en 1856, hasta San Juan Pablo II, que instituyó en esta fecha la Jornada Mundial de Oración por la Santificación de los Sacerdotes, la devoción al Corazón de Jesús ha ocupado un lugar central en la vida de la Iglesia.
Recientemente, el Papa Francisco profundizó en esta riqueza espiritual con su encíclica *Dilexit Nos* (“Él nos amó”), recordándonos que al venerar el Corazón de Cristo no adoramos un símbolo aislado, sino a Jesucristo mismo, fuente de amor humano y divino, que entrega su vida por nuestra salvación.
En este día especial, renovemos nuestra confianza en el Señor y abramos nuestro corazón a su amor transformador. Que el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús reine en nuestras familias, comunidades y corazones, guiándonos siempre por caminos de fe, esperanza y caridad.
