"PowerWords" for September 8, 2026.
Scripture: Philippians 4:13.
PowerWord: "Life's Power."

Good morning. Our next to last stop in our study of Philippians is Chapter 4, verse 13. This is Life's Power: "I can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens me." Paul learned that his own strength was not enough; he needed the power of Christ. In Corinthians 12, Paul tells how he had an affliction, a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan he called it. Paul prayed and asked the Lord three times to remove it. But, instead of healing him, the Lord provided Paul with grace (strength in this context). Paul learned that it was far better to have the power of Christ than to lean on his own strength. He learned that when he was weak, then he was strong, because the Lord took over and did what Paul could not. Paul later wrote the Ephesians and told them (and us) to "be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might." Don't try to fight your battles on your own. Like David said when he faced Goliath, "the battle is the LORD's."

God bless you,
Pastor Tim

"PowerWords" for September 7, 2026.
Scripture: Philippians 4:7; John 14:27.
PowerWord: "Life's Peace."

Good morning. Our next stop on our study through Philippians is Chapter 4, verse 7, where we find today' s PowerWord, "Life's Peace." There are so many people who never experience real, lasting peace. The peace of God is a supernatural peace that comes from knowing Christ, talking with Christ (prayer), and trusting Christ. This peace guards our hearts and minds and does not allow doubt, worry, or discouragement to creep in. We have the peace of God because we know He is in control, and that He will take all our circumstances and work them together for good. We know His grace is sufficient, that He will meet our needs, and that He is with us and will never leave us.

God bless you,
Pastor Tim

"PowerWords" for September 4, 2026.
Scripture: Philippians 4:6.
PowerWord: "Life's Prayer."

Good morning. Our next stop in Philippians is Chapter 4; verse 6, where we find Life's Prayer: "Be anxious for nothing (Don't worry about anything); but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God." Before we get to the prayer, please understand that only believers have the promise of answered prayers (except when unbelievers cry out for salvation). Prayer is prayed to our Father in heaven. God is not your Father if you haven't trusted Jesus as your Savior and been born again into God's family. Also, we pray in the name of Jesus. He is our access to the throne of grace. Then, before you pray, get rid of worry. If you're going to worry, rather than trust God, why pray? If you're going to pray and trust God, why worry? Don't hesitate to pray about anything and everything. Pray with thanksgiving, and ask, ask, ask. You can ask your Father anything. Go boldly to the throne of grace, and find grace to help. Prayer is powerful. "Pray without ceasing. We ought always to pray and not give up."

God bless you,
Pastor Tim

"PowerWords" for September 3, 2026.
Scripture: Philippians 4:4.
PowerWord: "Life's Praise."

Good morning. As we make our way through the letter to the Philippians, we find "Life's Praise" at chapter 4, verse 4: "Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, Rejoice." Knowing we are saved, knowing our name is in the Lamb's book of life, knowing we will spend eternity in heaven with Jesus, knowing He is with us here and he meets all our needs, and so much more! We have to rejoice!! Because of circumstances in life, we may not always be happy, but because we have Jesus we always have joy; joy in spite of circumstances! "Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus our blessed Redeemer!"

God bless you,
Pastor Tim
