In John 15, Jesus uses the picture of branches connected to a vine. It is a picture of the believer's union and communion with Jesus Christ. Sinclair Ferguson has said that our union with Christ is the central, vital reality from which every facet of the Christian life, identity, and redemptive benefit flows. Do you believe there is a limit to the love of Jesus Christ for you? Sometimes we think that. Sometimes we think deep down that Jesus could never truly love me at my worst, at my ugliest.
