Islamic Society of East Bay (ISEB) is a nonprofit organization which holds the tenets of Islam as in the Holy Quran, and the practices of Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). ISEB dedicates itself to organize religious, educational and social activities for Muslims and communities at large. Goals:

•To facilitate regular congregational prayer services fo

r Muslims
•To operate a full-time elementary and weekend school
•To provide Islamic education for Muslims of all age groups and community at large
•To foster good relationship with the city officials of the Tri-City area (Fremont, Newark, Union City)
•To cooperate with local and national Islamic organizations
•To collect and distribute Zakat
•To provide a funeral facility and other burial services to Muslims
•To work harmoniously with groups of other faiths

Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH Announcement

The Hilal to commence the month of Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH was looked for after the sunset on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The Hilal WAS SIGHTED by ru'yah ammah throughout the East Coast by CHC subcommittee members.

The Central Hilal Committee of North America has accepted these report(s) and has declared Monday, May 18, 2026, the 1st day of Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH.

THUS:
**Eid al Adha will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2026**

Important Dates:
Ayaam al Tashreeq: From after Fajr of Tuesday, May 26 to after Asr of Saturday, May 30.

Days of Qurbani: Wednesday, May 27 to Friday, May 29.
