This sermon, based on Galatians 6:6–10, develops the theme of "sowing and reaping" in the Christian life — arguing that while salvation is an unearned gift of grace, our actions still genuinely matter to God. It moves through three calls drawn from the text: share in the mission (6:6) by supporting gospel work and those who teach it; take God seriously (6:7–8) by sowing to the Spirit rather than to the self-centered flesh; and keep doing good (6:9–10) without growing weary, trusting that the harvest will be worth it. Throughout, it frames the believer as a participant in God's mission, life, and redemptive purpose — responsible for each — and closes by pointing back to the gospel of grace as the fuel for selfless living, pressing the recurring question: "What seed are you sowing?"

In this message on Galatians 6:11-18, we confront the question at the heart of Paul's letter: do you believe you're contributing to your own Worth, Belonging, and Standing before God? That's "Stolen Valor." The Bible contrasts the counterfeit boast of legalism — an external religious show rooted in pride and unbelief (vv. 11-13) — with the true boast of glory in the cross alone, where your identity is secured outside yourself and anchored in Christ (vv. 14-16). The marks of that true boast are persecution and grace: like Paul's own scars, the believer who lives for Christ stands out from the world and will face opposition (vv. 17-18). The call is simple but costly — repent of self-righteous pride, and boast in Jesus alone.
