Romans 10:9-10

This week, we rejoice in a salvation that does not put us to shame! Let's sing the things we hold fast to in faith. Let's rest in the fact that our salvation is sure, the work is done. Let's rejoice in the God we love!

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:18

We live in an already and not yet. We already know that there is glory to come and that we have future hope because of Christ. But we have not yet arrived. So we live in this place of eagerly waiting, groaning, longing... but not without hope. Christ is the victor. The King is coming. So we remind ourselves, we sing "On that day, who will not tremble, when you stand, Christ the victor?"
