JUNKYARD REDEMPTION. "God's Master Plan to remake our broken world."
Another successful Vacation Bible School in the books. We held our 1-day VBS on Saturday, August 1st from 10 am until 5 pm. We started out with an opening assembly featuring a skit performed by Ranisa Coley and Jackie Rowe. The skit was followed by an opening song led by Cierra Reid. The skit and the song got the kids excited and ready for more. After the opening assembly, the kids were put into different age groups for the breakout sessions. We were able to cover the 5-day lesson by assigning each age group a different lesson. After the breakout sessions, each age group completed an age-appropriate craft. All in attendance enjoyed a delicious lunch that consisted of hot dogs with all the trimmings, chips, pizza, sausage dogs, drinks, and desserts. After lunch, each class was sent back to their respective classes to work on their presentations, which they presented during the closing assembly. For recreation this year, we give a big shout-out to Brandon Ray, owner of Triangle VR Lab. This recreation was a huge hit with kids 9 and up (and some adults-Lol). The younger kids enjoyed bubble machines and ice cream treats. A huge thank you to all our teachers and other adults who volunteered their time and talents to make this VBS a huge success.
