Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

We hope that you and your family are safe and are sheltering in place. These are unique times with unique circumstances, but Sikhs have always met challenges with charhdikalaa and a can-do attitude.

One such endeavor sevadars have undertaken is to provide groceries to those who are less fortunate or have pre-existing conditions preventing them from getting groceries.

As of 3/21 we have delivered groceries to over 90 families across Alameda county and have many outstanding requests from families suffering from the COVID shelter in place orders.

Last week, Khalis Foundation initiated the first Sikh Food Pantry in California and has helped various other Sikh food pantries get started across the state. There is a team of volunteers who are collecting data, vetting the applicants, and with the help of a team of drivers, delivering groceries to their homes.
