Mission kids completed Mission:Jesus is the Light today! Last week they drew their versions of how they view Jesus as the light of their life on an index card to attach to a lightbulb. This week we walked door to door to share these lightbulbs around the neighborhood in hopes of planting seeds in the hearts of our community! Success! We picked up three more children to attend Mission Kids and several adults expressed interest in attending church service on Sundays! We have been learning how to share the gospel with others over the past several months, and today Mission Kids actually experienced what they’ve been preparing for! I am so proud of these kids on Mission for God!

Last night, Mission Kids learned more about missionary, J.D Fasolino. They learned how the church he planted served 11 different countries! Then we went on a geography adventure locating all the different countries! Mission Kids also tie-dyed their shirts for the first activity to earn their “Be Bold” badge! Can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Mission Kids learned about “compassion” tonight! God shows endless compassion to His people, therefore we will do our best to show compassion to others! The kids are on a mission to show compassion to at least one person this week and report back next week! 1st-6th graders made “coffee filter” earth models to marvel at God’s creation and 3rd-6th graders thought about “influencers” in their life! 3rd-6th graders also have Bible verses to choose from to memorize and recite next week for a prize!
