Week 8: Counsel the Doubtful

Week 8 of our 250 Works of Mercy Challenge is here! This week, we are called to Counsel the Doubtful, to offer encouragement, wisdom, and support to those who may be struggling with questions or uncertainty.

Sometimes, the most merciful thing we can do is simply listen. We don't always need to have all the answers. By being present, listening with compassion, and pointing others toward God's love, we can be a source of hope.

Who can you encourage this week?

Today we remember St. Monica.

Throughout her life, St. Monica constantly prayed for the conversion of Augustine, her beloved son. In a moment of desperation, she even asked for the bishop's help. In response, he said "the son of those tears surely will not perish." Truly, as this bishop remarked, Monica's tearful prayers helped build her son into the Doctor of Grace.

In this video, join Dr. Gray and Dr. Sehorn as they discuss this great Saint.

Dr. Tim Gray and Dr. John Sehorn discuss St. Monica, mother of St. Augustine.
