Mano con Mano Health Reach In November of 1993, a team of medical and dental professionals took part in a short- term mission trip to Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Serving the Mayan population of Guatemala through nutritious meals, public health projects, educational scholarships and tutoring, and sharing the Love of Jesus! As an outgrowth of that team, Mano con Mano Health Reach was born. Repeated trips to Mexico brought experience and developed the vision that more can be done in partnership than on an individual basis. Mano con Mano, which means "Hand in

Hand" in Spanish, strives to work in partnership with existing ministries and outreach programs in Latin America. Mano con Mano missionaries in Guatemala, working in a remote, rural, Mayan community, noticed the poor nutritional status of children and pregnant women. This prompted the development of a community feeding program and construction of a feeding center was completed in 2006 to serve the nutritional needs. The feeding center has spawned the development of health and education intiatives in the community as well. As a Christian organization, Mano con Mano strives to make sure that spiritual as well as physical needs are met as a part of its outreach.
