Calumet's Fruits & Roots series concludes with a four day retreat on LOVE, one of the Fruits of the Spirit, September 28-October 1. Rabbi Howard Mandell, Congregation Beth Israel of the Merrimack Valley, will help us explore our roots as we work together on learning to love our neighbors as ourselves from a Jewish perspective. Sara Withers from the New Hampshire Humanities Council will share her film on refugee interviews, "Uprooted: Heartache and Hope in New Hampshire", and lead us in a discussion on what are our responsibilities toward one another, especially refugees.

Join Sue, Todd, Gary and Judy for a fun and meaningful retreat on love through art, poetry, creation, nature, labyrinth walks, singing, discussion and fellowship...and love for God, love for your neighbor and love for yourself! All are welcome.

What happens when the Calumet 90s come back together?
There are campfire songs and conversations that somehow pick up right where they left off. There’s laughter that comes easily, tears that come unexpectedly, and memories shared with people who were part of a very special chapter of our lives.

There were unit-time games of Steal the Bacon — where the numbers may have been forgotten, the bodies may have moved a little slower, and the competitive spirit was still going strong!

There were sunrises, Shake & Bake on the beach, and an incredible evening of Hollywood Squares that reminded us that some things never really change.

But when all was said and done, the most treasured moments weren’t the games or the programs.

They were the moments of simply being together.

Of looking across the fire and seeing familiar faces. Of finishing old stories and starting new ones. Of remembering who we were, celebrating who we’ve become, and realizing that no matter how many years have passed…

It wasn’t just about coming back to camp, it was about coming home. Thanks for bringing your joy 90s alumni!

A special Sunday worship with our 90s alumni gathered back at Calumet. ❤️

With a lineup of alumni musicians leading us in song and familiar faces serving communion, Pastor Sara J preached a beautiful reminder that we are deeply known and deeply loved. Here at Calumet, we are reminded that before we are anything else, we are beloved children of God.

What a gift to gather, worship together, and share in a place that continues to remind us who we are. Welcome home, 90s alumni. 🧡

What a beautiful weekend at Calumet! From the Obstacle & Trail Challenge to the Jackman’s Ridge Luncheon, this weekend was such a special reminder of the community that keeps Calumet going.

Thanks to everyone who raced, donated, fundraised, cheered us on, and showed up, we raised over $47,000 to help more kids experience the magic of camp! 🎉

That means more kids getting to swim in the lake for the first time. Trying archery and hitting their first target, creating something new in arts & crafts, singing around a campfire, and making lifelong friends! We also gathered for the Jackman’s Ridge Luncheon to celebrate and thank the incredible donors whose generosity continues to make Calumet possible. Together, we dedicated and blessed the new pavilion in loving memory of Nellie Borrner, creating a space where campers, families, and friends will gather and make memories for years to come. 💙

To every person who gives their time, energy, love, and resources to Calumet: THANK YOU. This weekend, and everything it makes possible, is because of you.

Here’s to more kids at camp, more memories made, and many more beautiful Calumet years to come!
