Pastor Marshal Frisque announced to the congregation this morning that he will be accepting the call to Peace Lutheran Church in Neenah, WI. This comes after much prayerful deliberation. We pray for his family, our brothers and sisters in Christ at Peace Lutheran, and for our members and community. We ask God to begin preparing us for this transition. He alone knows what lies next for us here at St. John and we trust in His Will even when it may not line up with ours. To God be glory and thanks for serving us here in this place in His kingdom. More information regarding the transition will be posted as it becomes available.

Our youth group is having a great time in New Orleans for the National Youth Gathering! Make sure to follow their page St. John Lutheran Youth Group, Fredonia, WI to get updates on their trip and learn about future opportunities for our church's youth!

Enjoyed a little walk tonight after our dinner and Bible Study.

Pastor Frisque has received a Divine Call to serve as sole pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in Neenah, WI. Please keep Pastor and his family and both congregations in your prayers as they deliberate. He will announce his decision to accept the call to Peace Lutheran Church or decline the call and remain at St. John Lutheran Church on August 3rd.

LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs will be at St. John Lutheran Church tomorrow and all are invited!

Today we give thanks to God for a peaceful resolution to the tactical situation. Our heartfelt prayers to God are lifted for all involved. We thank God for His providential care through it all and the patient wisdom of our local law-enforcement. Please consider joining us tomorrow at one of our services here at St. John, as we gather to be restored, strengthened, and comforted in the loving hands of Jesus and his people. All are welcome!

We will have a number of LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs here at St. John for the church members and community to say hello and maybe get a much needed dog hug. Services are at 8 AM and 10:30 AM and run for approximately one hour. Come at 9:15 for Coffee, juice, milk and donuts to spend more time with the Comfort Dogs and hear a biblical discussion on God‘s care for his people in difficult times!

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10

Gracious Creator and Protector, in times of trial and hardship You promise to meet us in the depths of strife. As you displayed on the cross, you are willing to lay down your life to save your people and in your resurrection you give life eternal. We ask that you provide safety to our neighborhood and families that live in Fox Glen during this present lockdown. Give wisdom and protection to our local law enforcement as they tend to the escalated situation. Soften the heart of the aggressor and may the situation resolve quickly and peacefully. Shine your light into this present darkness that you may be known by all who have been affected. All this we pray in Your son Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏🏻

Today is an exciting day here at St. John! Together, we kick off the Advent season of preparation for Christ Jesus’ coming, we welcome in new members to our church, and we will be dedicating our NEW childcare and preschool playground, the “Gerner’s PlayGarden” in memory of Merlin and Sylvia Gerner. THANK YOU to those who helped and donated toward this amazing project! Please join us in all the wonderful celebrations today!
