πŸ’ Happy Mother’s Day πŸ’

Today we celebrate the women who nurture, encourage, pray, lead, love, and pour into the lives of others every single day. Whether you are a mother, grandmother, spiritual mother, mentor, or mother figure β€” your impact matters more than words can express.

β€œHer children rise up and call her blessed…” β€” Proverbs 31:28

To every woman who has loved faithfully through every season:
Thank you for your strength.
Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for your grace.

May you feel deeply loved, honored, and celebrated today. πŸ’–

Happy Mother’s Day from our Women’s Ministry family! 🌷

The women came to the tomb - in fact, they had a conversation along the way as to how they would roll the stone back from the tomb. Much to their surprise the stone had been rolled away!

I’m sure to those women all seemed lost and without hope. But that empty grave was full of hope - Jesus was alive!

When life throws us surprises and obstacles we can look to the cross - to Jesus. Look for the living - for signs of Jesus’ power. π—π—˜π—¦π—¨π—¦ π—œπ—¦ 𝗒𝗨π—₯ π—Ÿπ—œπ—©π—œπ—‘π—š π—›π—’π—£π—˜!

They prepared and then rested. Mary Magdalene and the other Galilean women followed Jesus body to the tomb where He ws laid. After doing so, the immediately went home to prepare perfumes to annoint Jesus’ body. On the Sabbath - they rested.

They prepared to keep Jesus in the grave. The women were resting on the Sabbath, but the priests and Pharisees were busy trying to prevent Jesus’ resurrection. They went to Pilate and had him secure the tomb.

While we may feel like we aren’t doing enough for Jesus - remember the women of Galilee. Take opportune moments in life and turn them for good…for Jesus. And because of their devotion they were the first to know of Jesus’ resurrection. When we take those opportune moments in life, we see the fruits of our devotion as well.

As for the others…there was more to come…they were to see that nothing can contain our Lord Jesus Christ!

3:00pm…Jesus cries out β€œMy God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”. The torture He was enduring for us was unbearable. And while yes, the physical pain and agony was horrible, the spiritual alienation He had from God, His father, was incomprehensible.

Immediately after crying out to His father, Jesus says β€œIt is finished.” He knew His death meant mankind’s debt was paid in full. He owes us nothing, yet He gave His life for us.

As we remember all that Jesus sacrificed that day on the cross for us, reflect on this…because He endured spiritual separation from God, we do not. Because of His death He took on all of our sin, so that we will have an eternal life with Him. Take some time to sit with Him, feel His presence and bask in that today. Oh but the love of God!!

This evening Jesus and his disciples gathered in the Upper Room to partake in the Passover meal. What the disciples did not realize was that it would be their last supper with Jesus, for they had no idea what was about to happen.

On this night Jesus showed them what it was to truly be a servant…He washed their feet.

Jesus wanted them to see that this is what it would take to accomplish His mission - to take the message of salvation throughout the world.

Take some time to reflect today on how you serve others, how you share the message of salvation.

On this day the religious leaders had an agenda…one that Jesus did not fit. Jesus’ light revealed who they really were and they did not like it. They were determined to quell Him.

What they didn’t know, because they were so caught up in their own agenda, was that God’s plan would prevail…and be the greatest blessing ever to mankind.

On this day we can remember that God always has a plan and is in control. So lift your eyes to Him and praise Him for all he has done, and still is, in our lives.
