Remember God’s Judgment
Text: Jude 5-7

Jude reminds his readers of several examples of God’s judgment against unbelief and rebellion. These accounts serve as sober reminders that God is both loving and just. His patience should never be mistaken for approval of sin.

God’s judgment calls us to examine our own hearts. Are we walking faithfully with Him, or are we becoming comfortable with attitudes and behaviors that displease Him?

“Now I desire to remind you…” (Jude 5)

Application Question: What area of my life needs greater submission to God’s will today? JR

Contend for the Faith
Text: Jude 3

Jude had intended to write about the common salvation Christians share, but he was compelled to urge believers to “contend earnestly for the faith.” The faith once delivered to the saints is not something to be altered, updated, or abandoned. It is God’s revealed truth, entrusted to His people for every generation.

Today, consider: Am I standing firmly for God’s truth, or am I allowing the world to shape my beliefs? Faithfulness requires both conviction and courage.

“Contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.” (Jude 3) JR

Jesus The Word -- John 1: 1-5 by Bro. Bill Searcy

Acts 13:31

Paul reminded his audience that after His resurrection, Jesus appeared to many witnesses who testified to Him publicly. God has always used faithful witnesses to spread the gospel from one generation to the next. Today, we are part of that same mission.

As you prepare for the Lord’s Day, remember that gathering with fellow believers strengthens our witness and encourages us to shine Christ’s light in our community.

We would love for you to join us for worship tomorrow at the Piedmont Church of Christ as we honor our risen Savior and encourage one another in faithful service to Him.

Prayer: Father, help me be a faithful witness for Christ and encourage others to follow Him. JR

Acts 5:32

Peter and the apostles proclaimed, “We are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit.” Their testimony was confirmed by God’s Spirit and could not be silenced by threats or persecution. Genuine witnesses remain faithful even when it is difficult.

Today, determine to stand for Christ regardless of the opinions or pressures around you.

Prayer: God, help me remain faithful and courageous as I bear witness to Your truth. JR

Acts 2:32

On Pentecost, Peter boldly declared, “This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses.” The apostles spoke with conviction because they had personally seen the risen Lord. While we have not seen Him physically, we can still witness to His transforming power in our lives.

Consider: What evidence of Christ’s work in your life could encourage someone else today?

Prayer: Lord, give me courage to speak about Your goodness and faithfulness whenever opportunities arise. JR

Acts 1:22

When the apostles sought a replacement for Judas, one qualification was that the man had been with Jesus and could become “a witness with us of His resurrection.” The foundation of the gospel rests upon the reality of the risen Christ. Everything we believe depends on the truth that Jesus conquered death.

Today, remember that our faith is not based on myths or opinions, but on the historical reality of the resurrection.

Prayer: Father, strengthen my confidence in the risen Savior and help me live with resurrection hope. JR

Acts 1:8

Jesus’ final words before His ascension included a commission: “You shall be My witnesses.” A witness is someone who testifies about what he has seen and knows to be true. Christianity was never intended to be kept private. Those who have experienced the grace of Christ are called to share Him with others.

Today, ask yourself: Does my life provide evidence that Jesus has changed me?

Prayer: Lord, help me faithfully testify to Your power and grace through my words and actions today. JR
