On Sunday, 5/17/2026, we will celebrate the 61st anniversary of St. Matthias UMC! We are honored to welcome our District Superintendent, Rev. Lindsey Freeman, who will join us for worship and bring the morning message.

Following worship, we will enjoy a potluck lunch and fellowship together.

Everyone—members, friends, and visitors—is warmly welcome to join us as we give thanks for God’s faithfulness through the years.

St. Matthias has encouraged the Bible Challenge—reading the New Testament and Psalms in 2024 and the Old Testament (excluding Psalms) in 2025. Out of our congregation, 21 members completed the challenge (we missed Mike and Erica M. in the picture), and many others continue faithfully in their daily reading.

Last Sunday, we recognized and celebrated their accomplishment by placing their names and year of completion on the “Bible Challenge Plaque."

Thank you for your faithful commitment to reading God’s Word each day. This is not the end of the journey, but an invitation for all of us. God’s Word is not only to be completed—it is to be lived, practiced, and encountered daily.

So let us continue together—reading, listening, and growing in faith—as we follow Christ more closely each day.
