A Prayer for Monday…

Most gracious and loving Father, we thank you for your never-ending love for us. We do not deserve such boundless love as this. Help us, O Lord, to be instruments of your love and peace with all people. Give us strength to love those who are difficult, or those who are closely aligned with us. Give us the desire to love even the ones who have hurt or maligned us. We know that such love is available only through you.

Help us, O Lord, to follow you so closely that you arrive at our destination before we do. Give us hearts to joyfully submit to your will even when we are afraid of what might happen. May our trust in you be so complete that that to disobey you would be distasteful to us.

Father, we love you so much. Give us the strength and the will to show that kind of love to others in unmistakable ways. Our hearts are yours, Oh God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All glory and honor be yours, O Lord of our lives. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, our Lord & Savior. Amen.
