In light of what has taken our nation by storm surrounding the Lindsay Clancy trial, we felt the need to address this from a Biblical lens as a church yesterday.

We need to be careful not to find ourselves falling prey, yet again, to the divisiveness of the enemy when it comes to cultural moments like this.

Rather than throwing stones or excusing evil, we need to slow down and consider the heart of Jesus in the midst of it all.

We can have deep compassion for the realities of mental illness and human brokenness, while still having the courage to call sin what Scripture calls sin.

When we reduce tragedy to a political talking point, a diagnosis, or a simple explanation, we miss the complexity of human depravity and the hope of the gospel.

The answer isn’t divisiveness. It’s truth and compassion. Justice and mercy. Grief and hope.

And ultimately, it’s having the courage to look at darkness honestly while still believing that Jesus is the Light. Because light still shines in the darkness, and the darkness will not overcome it. Selah.

Last week we talked about rest, but God didn’t create us for a life of constant rest. He created us for a rhythm of rest AND work.

What if your work isn’t separate from your worship? Because the same Jesus you worship on Sunday morning is the same Jesus you worship on Monday morning; your work is another expression of your worship.

We’ll talk about this, and so much more. It all starts Sunday morning!

Have we become so busy that we’ve forgotten how to hear the voice of God?

It’s time to take our rest seriously again, to make room for His presence and meet with God in the quiet. You don’t always need to do more. Sometimes you just need to be still.

There’s just nothing like God’s presence ❤️

There’s something powerful about gathering with the people of God; lifting our voices, making room for His presence, and reminding one another that we were never meant to do this life alone.

Join us tomorrow as we do just that, we’ll save you a seat 🏠

We live in a culture that celebrates busyness as a badge of honor, but what if our inability to rest is actually revealing something deeper about our hearts?

From the very beginning, God built a rhythm of work and rest into creation. Yet somewhere along the way, we’ve forgotten how to stop.

We need to rediscover the Sabbath, not as a burden or legalistic rule, but as God’s gift to His people. It is a way to remember who we are, resist a culture of chaos, and create space to hear the voice of God.
