Easter Sunday is coming up in less than 2 weeks! If you’ve never attended one of our worship services before, here’s a quick breakdown to help you know what to expect:
The first part is called Sacrament Meeting, where we sing and listen to uplifting music (hymnbooks provided) and listen to members of the congregation give sermons on Jesus Christ's teachings. The Sacrament (or Communion) is the centerpiece of the meeting, which is bread and water that's blessed and passed to the congregation. It's a symbolic way for us to remember Jesus's sacrifice for us.
After Sacrament Meeting, we have several classes for children and adults. If you’re not sure where to go, just ask anyone, and they’ll be happy to help you find the right classroom!
Most people try to dress in their “Sunday best” at church. You’re welcome to come in any clothes you feel comfortable in, but most men wear suits or button-up shirts and ties, women typically wear dresses or skirts, and children usually dress up too.
If you'd like to join us for Easter Sunday services, feel free to RSVP to our Facebook event where you can find a local church near you: http://bit.ly/easter-sunday-facebook-event.
